So many of my friends are dealing with difficult things this week: bad news from doctors, sick children, loss, sending loved ones to war. I am thinking about you all and sending you prayers. Everything seems insignificant against that backdrop, but I think that may be the common thread of Teaworthy. There are always tough things going on, but hopefully we can pause here and be thankful for little things. Everytime I have a double stuffed Oreos {which is deliciously often} I think about watching the Yankees in the Series after 9-11 with my husband. The comfort of baseball and Oreos. Little, meaningless things that meant so much. A dear friend reminded me last week of Dr. Wayne Dyer’s message that you either contribute or you contaminate in every situation. It’s a good challenge for me and I hope you always find a contribution here.

I picked up this water pitcher {doubling here as a vase} last weekend at the Athens Schoolhouse Antiques Show and the cockscomb in it from Three Toads Farm’s booth at the Farmer’s Market. The market is within walking distance from beignets and johnny cakes at Doodles. It’s a win win, really.
