Good Things for Sunday in July

I owe you some good chi, so here are a few good things for a Sunday night in July….

-Jamie Oliver’s Magazine. We made a raspberry/mint/lemon/sugar/gin drink from this month’s issue and while I completely botched the straining portion of the directions, it was still very good. The chickpea, feta, and tomato salad recipe this month is really good as well.

-Speak Low by Billie Holiday is ideal listening for summer nights.

-Personalized Paper Boat Photography SIGG bottles. You can order one with any image from your shoot for $35:

- I can’t wait to show you more from my shoot with this beauty in Stars Hollow a.k.a. Midway, Kentucky.

We met there early in the morning. It had just rained. The shopkeepers were opening their doors to receive deliveries. You could smell the coffee and bacon. Everyone says Good Morning. It’s the perfect small town.

-On the drive back, I listened to Court Yard Hounds and left the windows down. It’s in those moments when I’m leaving a horse farm, or passing the stone walls on the way out of Midway that I remember what a privilege it is, and how proud I am, to be of Kentucky. It is truly a beautiful place.
