Joint Ventures

As my girl says, today was a day for a “venture”. After breakfast doughnuts and a trip to Morris Bookshop, we girls set out for the World’s Largest Yard Sale – the 127 Corridor. From Ohio to Alabama, yard sales pop up all along 127. We made 3 stops along the corridor and had so much fun. Since our favorite neighbor had a yard sale last month {where she cleaned up on small Disney figurines} she has had an eye for the yard sale. She loves touching the bins of buttons, sparkly broaches and old toys.

She tried out this toy camera, one that I remember fondly as a child, but was not impressed with the technology. She’s a bit of a tech wiz. Instead, she carefully selected 3 marbles, a coloring book about Disney villains, a dump truck, a necklace, lemonade, and a small pink care bear.

FleaMarket3I picked this 1950s sugar dispenser and tin. The tin is now holding high res DVDs that I use for clients.

It was hard to walk away, chickens.

Oh, and I have new hair. It’s darker. Self portraits always make me giggle.

August 9, 2009 - 12:58 pm Amanda - You should have stopped by our house. We back up to 127 and the Danville fairgrounds, which is about 1/4 of a mile away was a happening place! Farmer's Market and Yard Sale all in one!

August 10, 2009 - 2:23 pm Jana - I must go to this yard sale next year! It looks like it was a blast. Love the new 'do... such a warm color.

August 14, 2009 - 9:34 pm Karyn - I remember those FP camera's! Those chickens would have been hard to pass up. I also LOVE your hair!

August 25, 2009 - 1:34 am Natalie - I like your hair better than Karyn does
