Show & Tell: Summer Reading List 2010

This image popped up on Snippet & Ink a while back and I actually gasped. Love it. Heaven must look something like this.

Kindles make it harder for me to snoop in airports and pools to see what people are reading.  I still carry around actual books so feel free to snoop away. I’ll make it easier with this list.

Books -

I’m reading:

Women Food & God – Geneen Roth

CommittedElizabeth Gilbert

Traveling Light: Releasing the Burdens You Were Never Meant to Carry – Max Lucado

Little Bee - Chris Cleave.  I just finished this one and it is a heart-pounding, page-turner. It stays with you, but in a way that makes you see the world in a new way, which I always welcome.

Others piquing my interest that I haven’t picked up yet:

Heart of The Matter- Emily Griffin
Every Last One- Anna Quindlin
Bedwetter- Sarah Silverman
The Pull of The Moon- Elizabeth Berg

The books in this list of Summer Reads from Working Mother Magazine all look fun.

I have recommended a few of these in the past, but my summer faves seem to resurface. For me, these are the ultimate summer reads:

A Good House- Bonnie Burnard

High Fidelity- Nick Hornby

Girl’s Guide To Hunting & Fishing- Melissa Bank

Bel Canto- Ann Patchett {also love Truth & Beauty by her as well}

Beach Bag Magazines -

Sunset is California orange, blue and green coastal goodness.

Southern Weddings – Great resource for brides and event planners

I have a voracious reading appetite so I will supplement this post throughout the summer.

What are you reading?
