One of my favorite sweet little clients, E loves Beyonce as much as I do and during this photo shoot, she sang and danced to Beyonce’s Halo. She is always a source of inspiration for me, this girl.

So, because it’s her favorite song, I watched the video for the first time recently and found a lot of photography inspiration. Thanks E!

I love the slow pace and the way it was shot i.e. lots of overexposed, yet soft light, sunflare that wasn’t too warm, and intimate without being overtly sexual.

Here are a few still frames which are great. I love the attention to every day things that couples do together: waking up, reading the paper, sharing a chair, dancing, looking at each other. There’s something really simple and clean about a peaceful Saturday morning at home. I am getting lots of engagement photo ideas from this and I’m scouting locations where couples can just be quiet together. Hopefully with this kind of rockin’ natural light, too!
