Yesterday, we dusted off the box of holiday books and added a few more to the collection. I bought this version of The Night Before Christmas solely because of the luminous paintings by Tom Browning. It really is the most beautiful edition I’ve seen. It’s easy to rock the Thomas Kinkade kind of cheese with this story, (sorry T.K.) but the paintings are really something. You can see more of them here.
The Spirit of Christmas is really sweet and beautifully written and illustrated by Nancy Tillman.
And, finally, we are enjoying Olivia Helps With Christmas. It has all those key elements that you love about the Olivia books, but feels a little more contemporary than some of the others.

I know it seems way early to be talking about Christmas, but according to this Real Simple/Container Store Holiday checklist, I’m practically last season.
